A question goes up on the screen. Everyone answers in secret for themselves. Then, without seeing the totals, everyone guesses which answer won.

You do not score for having good taste. You score for knowing this table. The post-round argument is the content.

How to play

  1. A question appears for everyone at once.
  2. First tap: what you actually want.
  3. Second tap: which answer you think most people chose.
  4. Only the second tap scores. Ties for most both count.
  5. Highest score after the last question wins.

Is Call the Room free to play?

Yes, and there is nothing to buy later. Call the Room runs in your browser: no download, no app store, no payment.

Do I need to install anything?

No. Open the link and play. It works on a phone, a tablet, a laptop and any television with a browser, and everyone at a table can be on a different kind of device.

What does “In one room” mean?

Put the question on the television. Everybody picks, then calls, on their own phone. The totals land on one screen the whole room is already looking at.

What does “Live online” mean?

Open a table and share a short link or a four-character code. Friends join from anywhere. The question appears on every screen at the same moment.

How many people can play?

3–10 players, in the same room or live online.

How long does a game take?

About 15 minutes. Want a shorter or a longer game? Choose “Set up your own game” and pick how many cards it takes to win.

Do I need an account?

Only if you want to start a game for other people to join. Playing on one shared screen works without one, and so does joining a game a friend started — you just choose a name.
