You score for spotting the truth, and you score when people fall for your lie. Finding the real fill-in while you write already pays — you sit the vote out.

How to play

  1. A sentence with a blank appears.
  2. Type a fake that would fit.
  3. Vote for the line you think is real. Your own lie is hidden from you.
  4. Truth is 2 points. Each vote on your lie is 1.
  5. Eight facts. Highest score wins.

Is So They Say free to play?

Yes, and there is nothing to buy later. So They Say runs in your browser: no download, no app store, no payment.

Do I need to install anything?

No. Open the link and play. It works on a phone, a tablet, a laptop and any television with a browser, and everyone at a table can be on a different kind of device.

What does “In one room” mean?

The sentence goes on the television. Write and vote on your phone. The lineup, then the reveal, land on one screen.

What does “Live online” mean?

Open a table and share a four-character code. Friends join from anywhere.

How many people can play?

4–8 players, in the same room or live online.

How long does a game take?

About 15 minutes. Want a shorter or a longer game? Choose “Set up your own game” and pick how many cards it takes to win.

Do I need an account?

Only if you want to start a game for other people to join. Playing on one shared screen works without one, and so does joining a game a friend started — you just choose a name.
